Interested in my Eco-Travel Planning Services? Here’s a few of my frequently asked questions.
What does it mean to be an “eco” travel agent?
After I get a sense of the trip you’d like to take, I conduct a sustainability assessment to highlight areas where you can have the largest impact and suggest modifications, when applicable, on how to be more eco-friendly.
I prioritize eco-friendly tour operators and smaller, local agencies so you can feel great about the impact of your trip. After 4+ years of blogging, creating my Global Directory, and traveling to 40 countries, I have a long list of people I can personally recommend!
What’s included with my Eco-Travel Planning Services?
- daydreaming session (optional)
- a customized, detailed, travel itinerary
- sustainability assessment w/suggestions
- bookings
- support in the event of cancellations, filing an insurance claim, or other concerns (before and during your trip)
How does this process work?
First, I’ll collect a little info so I am clear about what you want out of your trip. Then I’ll put together an incredible itinerary. Once we’ve confirmed the plan, I’ll complete the bookings, give you my parting travel tips, and send you on your getaway with all the details you need at your fingertips.
I will communicate with you on your preferred platform (email, phone, or text) but I love to hop on a video chat at the start so I can get to know you better.
How much does this cost?
I charge a planning fee, which varies depending on the length and complexity of your trip.
Many travel agents operate solely on commission. I prefer to charge a planning fee up front so that I can truly recommend the best, most eco-conscious, experiences for you – even if they don’t offer any commission for travel agents. (That can often be the case for small tours agencies and travel providers).
I am committed to creating an itinerary custom-made for you, and I’ll never sell you anything I don’t think is a great fit.
