Just here to drop some positivity in these chaotic moments.
I know everything is a bit intense right now and we can only take it day by day. If I can help you in any way (babysitting for my local friends, phone calls, book recommendations) please don’t hesitate to ask.
And if you’re doing fine, check in on your loved ones! ❤️

Remember my post about sustainable travel bloggers to follow this year? Well Simone from Midlands Traveller was on that list, but this month I was honored to be featured in an interview on her blog! Check out the post to see my current favorite favorite cities, flashbacks to some of my worst travel moments, and my tips for aspiring travelers.
Thanks so much to Midlands Traveller for featuring me!

If you didn't know, today is International Women's Day - a day to recognize and celebrate women, their accomplishments, and their struggles. This year's theme is "Each for Equal" which means that it takes individual action from each of us to work toward gender equality (and that all of us benefit from equality - not just women.)
Suitcase Six was designed as a travel blog inspired BY women and written primarily FOR women it should be no surprise I'm celebrating this holiday.
In honor of International Women's Day, I collaborated with a few other bloggers to bring you this celebration post: six badass ladies from past and present who've made major waves in the world of travel and adventure. Thanks to The Travel Scribes, Boogie the Pug Chronic Wanderlust and The Nomadic Vegan for your help in sharing these inspirational women! They remind us that women are strong, fierce, and always a force to be reckoned with.
Share this with the women in your life who have the travel bug!

It’s World Book Day! What are your favorite travel books?
Here are four of mine that I have in the house.
1. How to Swear Around the World - Jason Triumph
2. The Alchemist - Paulo Coelho
3. The Universe in Your Hand - Christophe Galfard
4. The Poisonwood Bible - Barbara Kingsolver
Today is World Wildlife Day, a day to celebrate and raise awareness about the plights of our animal friends!
This photo is from my recent trek at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary in Uganda where they have been able to bring the rhino population back to life. In honor of our animals, spend some time today learning about how you can keep them safer - especially when you travel. 🦏🦛🐘
I’ll be reposting some helpful info about animal encounters and wildlife today in my Instagram stories too.
Six ways to celebrate the day:
1. Donate to a wildlife conservation organization
2. Read an article about wildlife conservation efforts
3. Share a photo and story of your favorite (ethical) animal encounter
4. Google your city + wildlife to see what type of critters live in your neighborhood and how to keep them safe
5. Go to wildlifeday.org to hear from officials on why this day is so critical.
6. Go for a wildlife walk and pick up any trash you see along the way. (Swipe right to see how much trash I collected in 10 minutes...)
How are you celebrating #WorldWildlifeDay today?
