The Netherlands is mainly known for Amsterdam, coffee shops, tulip fields and maybe good cheese and clogs. But my home country is so much more than that!
With a rich history, a long coastline, beautiful castles and cute towns, the Netherlands has a lot to offer any type of traveler.
Add to that its compact size, its great public transport and a population that speaks English well, and you have found yourself an easy country to travel around in.
Oh and did you know that there are more bicycles than people in the Netherlands? So if you want to do something active while here, definitely explore a part of the country by bicycle!
