This excerpt is specifically about Rarotonga, the island on which most Cook Islands citizens reside. The greater page includes posts about other Cook Islands but focuses on Rarotonga.
Rarotonga is a small island located in the south pacific ocean. With a ridiculously friendly population of just 15,000 people, you’ll quickly get the hang of ‘island life’ as you relax on stunning tropical beaches.
Unsurprisingly, the best activities in Rarotonga revolve around the water. Sunbathing, snorkelling, boat trips, and paddle boarding are some of the best ones. There’s also few better ways to wind down than relaxing on a beach in Raro with a cocktail in your hand.
Although it seems as though Rarotonga is all about the beaches, there is certainly more to explore. A hike to the top of The Needle in the centre of the island is a must for avid explorers and anyone who wishes to see the best views of the island.
Raro is possibly the chillest place on Earth and well worth visiting.
